Why, Why, Why!

Thursday evening our friend, Jen, came up to visit for the weekend. After she arrived and got settled in, she commented that she had noticed some green in our grass. I laughed because we haven't had a real long stretch of nice weather yet, but I told her that I would agree with her just to fill my head with more dreams of spring!
After a fun-filled weekend Jen left for home on Sunday afternoon! She pulled out of our drive around 3:00 -3:30 and around 8:00 pm I decided to call and see if she had made it home yet. She responded, "Are you kidding me? I'm not even to Wadena yet!" Wadena is a town about 100 miles south of Clearbrook. Below you'll see pictures of the weather she had to drive through. Those living around Bemidji woke up to 24 inches of snow; give or take a couple of inches. We got away with a mere 6-7 inches. Thief River Falls (home of Uncle Darrell and Aunt Karen), which is about 60 miles nort of us, didn't get a drop! Most schools were 2 hours late and a few were canceled. Today, on my way home from work, the sun was shining, the roads were clear, most of the snow had melted, and the ducks and geese were swimming in the pond near our house that was frozen this morning. Isn't that lovely for the first weekend in April?
In the meantime, I've got an anxious farmer waiting to get outside. Well, I guess I could say I've got two. Jacob got a taste of being outside with the dog and myself last week and was not very happy to be pulled back in. He's also getting used to wearing his farming cap and sunglasses. I snapped a couple of pictures of him in his cap. I'll try to get the cool dude in his sunglasses for the next post.
Thank you all for checking in! God bless! Scott, Kim, and Jacob

YUCK!!

In case you're wondering what's sticking out of his mouth, Jacob likes to put a graham stick in his mouth then stick it out and pull it back in. What fun!

This winter has made me decide to be rich someday and have a winter home in Cabo or the Riviera or even Texas this point! I am so sick of the cold! I will be a miserable old Q-tip during the winter when I get old!!
