Scaredy-Cake

Here are some pictures from Jacob's birthday! Grandma and Grandpa Anderson, Uncle Jon, Aunt Kendall, and our friend Marcus came over for cake and ice cream. Jacob was less than thrilled about the cake with candles and everybody singing to him. He didn't know how to react to all of the attention and wasn't quite sure of what to do with the candles either. The process was demonstrated over and over but he still wouldn't give it a try until we finally gave up and pulled the candles out. Then he decided to try blowing on them. We've got a year to practice, hopefully we'll have it down pat for the third birthday.

Thanks for checking in! God bless! Scott, Kim, and Jacob

He ran away from the cake when I brought it downstairs
and we started singing "Happy Birthday".
Grandma and Grandpa tried everything to get him to blow the candles out.
As you can see, he wouldn't even look at them at first!

Trying to teach him how to blow on the candles!

We at least got a smile finally!

I think we lit the candles four times and still he wouldn't blow them out!

Many of my family members called and sang "Happy Birthday" to Jacob. His reaction - dance, dance, dance!

Do you remember how Matt used to hang his head when we put him in front of his birthday cake with lit candles and tried to sing to him??? That's what Jacob's reaction reminds me of.

And by the way....colby is adorable....you will love her instantly!! Can't wait to see all of you!!

I do remember that about Matt! That's exactly what Jacob's reaction was! He put his head down and looked the other way!
