Jacob's second year, though also full of "firsts", introduced us to experiencing something more than the anticipation of what motor skill he would develop next. The past twelve months have given us a greater glimpse of what we may see in Jacob Arthur Anderson as a person in the years to come. Of course, as his parents we concern ourselves continually with how soon he will learn to hop and how well he colors a picture. We realize now though, that in addition to all of those skills, Jacob's gifts include being a loving boy who now enjoys giving hugs and isn't afraid to take your hand to show you his favorite book. This two-year old makes almost every person he meets smile (yes, almost) and is determined to hug every baby he passes by. These are blessings that we thank God for day after day!
Each day with Jacob is an adventure - most often on train tracks or driving a tractor - and we know that the last two years has only provided us with a sample of the gifts that God has given Jacob to share with us and all the others who are a part of his life.
Thanks so much for checking in! God bless! Scott, Kim, and Jacob

Happy Birthday, Jacob -- our favorite grandson!!! I'm hoping you got a video of him dancing when I sang "Happy Birthday" to him on his birthday, Kim! How funny that must have been - to see him put the phone down and dance every time someone called and sang "Happy Birthday" to him!! What a character! (Nice review of pictures, Kim!)

Amazing. How can he possibly be 2? Although with all the things he's learned and can do now how can it only be 2 years?
