Just a little video from the other night at supper. Jacob was mimicking me raising my eyebrows, but couldn't quite figure the coordination out.
And, despite our daily practice, Jacob is still having troubles hearing the difference between the words "horse" and "Kori". For some reason he "neighs" whenever we ask him to say Kori. We're guessing it must be the "or" sound, but we're trying to get it corrected before Thanks-Christmas gets here! We go through it everyday; we say, "say Kori", he neighs, we say "No, say Kori", he neighs, we say "No, say Kori". Every once in awhile he'll say her name, but the next time we ask, he's back to neighing.
Jacob has also been giving his sense of smell a workout. Scott gave me flowers for our anniversary last week and Jacob makes the funniest face while he's smelling them.
I took some pictures of him this same night but they don't turn out with our "green" lights! So, you'll have to wait for different shots!
Thanks for checking in! God bless! Scott, Kim, and Jacob

He is growing way too fast!! I do not know whether to be happy you are trying to get him to say my name or offended that he thinks I am a horse!!! I still love him - an the wrinkled nose is too cute!!
Can't wait for next month to come!
Love - Kori
I'm still not hearing "Grandma"!!! You've got four weeks to work on it!!
That's too funny! Do you usually call horses "horsies?" I wondered if that had anything to do with it. Kori and horsies is more similar then Kori and horse!
Hey, Kim, try this...divide Kori's
name very slowly---Ko pause then add the last syllable, ri.Some children get hooked on the way we
speak and many times we speak too
fast for their ears to process. He just needs to hear that Kori has two parts. Horse is a single sylla-
ble as you know.Try it,it might just work.
Love to all of you, Grandma Budke
