Jacob has figured out how to show us how big he is, when he wants to that is. Catching him in action for this video was tricky and the quality is awful as it was with our old digital camera. I tried to brighten it on our video editing program but couldn't get it to work. I'll have to spend some more time figuring that program out.
Anyway, he's a pro at, "How big is Jacob? So Big!", "Pat-a-Cake", and singing "La La La La". He's also a pro at ear infections. He's going through his second one now. We had a doctor's appointment today and found out he has another. We've had a few sleepless nights this week and Kendall and Corrinne didn't sleep much while we were in Montana over the weekend. I posted some pictures of him sleeping in our bed this morning. He fell asleep while watching the news with Scott. Also there is another classic picture of Kendall trying to take their picture together and one of him showing us, "So Big".
We can't wait to see all of our Illinois family next month! We're thinking we might have a walking Jacob by then and a few more teeth too. He's got another top one coming in. Thank you for keeping in touch and checking in on us!
PS - check out the Rankin Girls Blog for pictures from our trip to Montana

Oh he's soooo cute! James hasn't done the so big yet - probably because we didn't teach it to him (bad parents!) he doesn't patty cake either because John wanted to teach him to clap to "we will rock you" or whatever the name of that song is! Now he just claps to music.
I love Jacob's video he really sounds like he's giving you heck too like "Mom, I already did it two times! How many more times do I have to do it!?!"
Hope to see you soon!

Okay, Kendall, we don't need to see Jacob's snotty nose!!! Kim, I don't get the video here at home but got it at work yesterday. I wish it were longer -- I loved hearing Jacob giggle!! I still can't get over how long his hair has gotten. He'll be about ready for an "Illinois haircut" when you're here for ThanksChristmas!! Doesn't Scott get one about every trip down here?
That clear runny nose is sometimes a sign of an upcoming ear infection, maybe he's going to need tubes. I can't get the video at work, I'll have to try it at home.
Can't wait to see all of you!

PS: Matt has finally applied to a college!!! He has applied to Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Let's all cross our fingers that he gets accepted because I don't think I can argue anymore with him about chosing a school!
It is soooo nice to be able to hear
all of you and Jacob's giggle is
great to hear even though I could hear the little bit of roughness in
his voice. I'm certain his doctor told you that he will out grow the ear infections(as his head gets
bigger) but you don't dare let them
go!!
Oh, that was so fun! You've got to get it so you can post more videos! That was so fun...I watched it three times!
Love you and can't wait to see you in a month!
