Lumberjack

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas up here so, we ventured over the river and through the woods today to find Christmas trees. It took a good fifteen minutes for Kendall, Jacob, and I to get bundled up while Scott threw on a coat and gloves in a couple of seconds. I guess he's used to being outside every day and we're not.
We all piled into Scott's little truck and barrelled through the snow drifts in the fields behind our house until we got to the edge of the woods. Here's where Scott and I have found a few of our Christmas trees in the past, so we thought we'd see what there was to harvest this year. We had to warn Kendall that these weren't the kind of trees you would normally see at Talbott's (the Christmas tree farm near Manito, for those who are wondering). "They're more like, well, Charlie Brown Christmas trees" Scott informed her.
We found what we were looking for and both Kendall and I came home with home-grown Christmas trees. I actually didn't get a picture of our tree yet, but I did get a shot of Kendall posing with hers. There's also numerous shots of Jacob getting ready to go tree hunting and playing in the snow; which he didn't mind until his mitten fell off. His bare hand covered in snow didn't make him too happy. Notice, the snow boots were a little tricky for him to stand in and walking just wasn't an option.
I've also posted two videos of Jacob walking, as my mother has requested. He's always on the go and spent most of Saturday and Sunday ignoring the word "no".

What a little stink!!! We are always anxious for our little ones to walk, not fully realizing that the fun/work is just beginning!!!(I wish he would have taken off and walked at Thanks-Christmas!!! We all knew he was real close!)Thanks for the videos! I love the pictures from outside, and you're right, that surely is a "Charlie Brown Christmas tree", but I'm sure that when Kendall gets done with it, it'll look cute!! The picture of Kendall and Jacob is great!!

I'm not for sure which is more fun...seeing Jacob walking or you disciplining him!

I actually think you should use the picture of him in the snowbank all bundled up for your Christmas picture, Kim!

I wondered that too, Kelly, except can we see more of his boots than of him?!?!?!? He has such a cute face, it's a shame not to see it!!! (Nice boots you got for him, Great-grandma Budke!!)
