Look at that face!

Well, a week and two days have gone by and we've been enjoying every minute of it! It's so hard to believe that after waiting and waiting, Jacob is here and already a week old. He seems to have changed so much in just a week. It's such a neat experience, getting to know this miniature Scott! With all of the adjustments we've been making, we still can't help but stop everything continuously to take in his personality. He definitely keeps our attention with his many faces that are made throughout the day. We've heard the debate many times of course...is his smile just gas or is it an actual emotion. Well, whatever it is, it makes us smile! Of course, so does his pout and his angry faces and his grunts. They are all amazing to us and make us realize every day how incredible this gift is!
We've been trying to snap some pictures of his many expressions throughout the week, which has proven to be rather difficult! However, we've caught a few with the camera after about a fifteen minute photo shoot of Mom holding Jacob trying to get him to make different faces and Dad hovering over with the camera! Hopefully, we'll be able to capture some more soon to share with all of you! I don't know how many times this week we've said to each other, "Look at that face!".

This ended up being a big smile while he was sleeping, but we just caught the beginning smirk. It's so hard to catch a smile from a newborn on camera!!

Wait a minute! Is that Jacob or Scott sleeping? Head back and mouth open, he looks just like his daddy! When will the snoring start?

This is one of Mom's favorites! The pout that usually comes before a scream! His eyebrows go up and his lips frown...it sounds kind of cruel but it's adorable!!

Well, we hope that this gives some of you who haven't gotten to meet Jacob yet a chance to see some of his little expressions! Sometime we'll have to snap a shot of his face when he's screaming. His face turns as red as his hair! We're having fewer of those moments though, thank goodness!

Keep checking in on us! As we're getting our lives somewhat organized again, we're finding a little more time to take pictures and get them online!

You look so much like your daddy, but I hear you might have your mom's personality (just kidding, Kim!). Can't wait to meet you in person! We love you!
