Take me home!

We forgot to post these pictures of the day Jacob got to come home from the hospital! As calm as we thought we were as two new parents getting ready to take our firstborn home, we can only imagine how frantic we would have looked to all of you that have done this a few times! Mom had never seen Dad drive home from Bemidji as slow and cautious as he did that day!

Dad and Jacob settled in to take a snooze before the big trip home!

Mom worked hard against the kicking legs to get Jacob dressed! He becomes quite the little biker when it's time to change a diaper and he doesn't want you to!

Finally, after a major study of the straps on the carseat, Jacob was buckled in and wasn't going anywhere unless it was home!

Dad was happy he got to come home in at least a little something with blue on it (his hat). His outfit had yellow ducks on it and yellow wasn't quite what Dad had in mind for him to wear! He probably would have preferred a Timberwolves outfit!

Jacob's had to get used to bundling up for the Minnesota weather in a hurry! We've had really mild temperatures all winter until last week. What a week to arrive...the wind chill a few days ago was thirty below!
