Yesterday marked the due date that we were planning on Jacob to arrive, but instead it ended up being a day of some firsts for Jacob. The morning began with his first bath in water, which ended up being surprisingly pleasant to Daddy's ears. We anticipated the screams that we usually get while giving Jacob a sponge bath. Daddy kept waiting to hear the hollers that always come along with Jacob's baths. Instead, he heard a couple of little grunts and that was it. Jacob thoroughly enjoyed his bath! What a relief! We didn't get a chance to snap any pictures of this event though, as we were rushing to get ready for Jacob's next "first" of the day...going to see the doctor.
Jacob had his first doctor's appointment yesterday morning. We didn't get any pictures of that either, but we do have his new stats. Jacob weighed in at 9 lbs. 5 oz. and is 21 inches long!! We're pretty sure he's getting enough to eat now! Which leads us to his third and final "first" of the day, a bottle! Why Mom was so nervous about giving him a bottle for the first time, we don't know! He loved it and it gives Dad even more opportunities to spend some time with his "mini-me". We did get some pictures of this!

I can't believe how much he has changed since his first pictures. I just want to hold him so bad! I agree with Gail, thanks for doing this it let's us see him grow and change!
